Peer Counseling Program

VSB Peer Counselors (PCs) provide mentoring services to freshmen and sophomores, helping them with the important, and sometimes difficult, academic and social questions associated with school life.

This system pairs every incoming freshman with an upper class Peer Counselor in the Villanova School of Business. Under the direction of the Clay Center, in conjunction with a student Executive Board, the VSB PCs provide guidance to advisees on many topics, including:

  • Adjustment to campus life at Villanova
  • Course selection, registration, and PIN numbers
  • Effective study habits
  • NOVASIS, the online student record system
  • Selection of majors and minors
  • Locating information in the VSB handbook and website
  • Faculty with relevant academic and/or career information
  • Campus resources available to support academic, personal, and career development
  • Getting involved in VSB and university activities
  • General support and encouragement

Freshmen will be contacted by their assigned Peer Counselor, during the summer prior to their arrival on campus; initial meetings are held during Orientation.

The Peer Counseling (PC) office is located in the Clay Center at VSB.

The office is staffed each weekday. Students are welcome to solicit input from VSB PCs in addition to the one to which they were assigned.
