Become a Peer Counselor

VSB students are invited to apply to become a Peer Counselor during their junior and senior years.

Some of the benefits of being a VSB Peer Counselor include:

  • Development of leadership skills and the opportunity to fill an Executive Board role during your senior year.
  • Acting as a mentor to your group of assigned students.
  • Opportunity to participate in professional development activities for free, complements of the Clay Center.
  • Exclusive access to the Peer Counselor office—not only a great place to meet with your advisees, but also a quiet place to get your own work done.
  • Public recognition for your service to the school and opportunity to participate in “PC appreciation” activities.

Once selected as a Peer Counselor, a student will serve in that role throughout his/her junior and senior year and agree to fulfill the Peer Counselor expectations.
