Majors and Requirements

VSB offers undergraduate degree programs in accountancy,   business honors (through the Class of 2012), and business administration with majors in economics, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. VSB also offers an international business co-major. Students may choose to double major or to select a minor field of study.

Starting with the Class of 2012, only one degree will be awarded within VSB regardless of the number of majors completed. Students who have completed the requirements for more than one degree, e.g. BSA and BBA, must choose which degree to be awarded. Majors are listed on the transcript, but not on the diploma.

Declaring a Major

VSB students are required to select a major sophomore year. To assist students in this process, the Clay Center at VSB offers advising and programs throughout the year, including the VSB Majors Forum and the VSB Majors Fair, which provide students with opportunities to gather information from faculty members and upperclass students. Additionally, students are encouraged to contact individual faculty members or academic area chairs to discuss the relationship between academic programs and personal and professional goals.

After initially declaring a major sophomore year, VSB students may add a second major or change a major or minor by clicking here to submit an on-line Change of Major/Minor form. The additional courses required for the second major must be fulfilled before a degree is granted.
