Hunger
and Homelessness Awareness Week (HHAW) is a campus-wide event grounded in a
"preferential option for the poor."
It seeks to:
- Raise awareness about global poverty, hunger and homelessness.
- Fundraise for international relief and development organizations.
- Provide an opportunity for Villanova students to combine education with
action.
- Promote a deeper understanding of what it means to live out the Gospel
and the Augustinian values of peace and justice.
This week brings to life the words of Pope Paul VI: "If you want peace, work
for justice."
