Always adjust the microphone before beginning.
Always pause—count to 3 -- between
“A reading from ...” and the first
line of the reading.Always pause –count to 3--between the last line of the reading and
“the Word
of the Lord”Always practice and thoroughly prepare your reading before Sunday.Always check to make sure that the Lectionary is at the ambo before the liturgy
begins.Make eye contact.Proclaim your reading slowly, clearly, and with great meaning and conviction.
