The Campus Ministry Retreat Program attempts to awaken participants to the
presence of God in their daily lives. The program facilitates this awareness by
asking the members of the Villanova University community to leave the busyness
of college life and reflect upon aspects of their lives which they do not
normally have the time, energy, or opportunity to do. By offering a variety of
retreat experiences, we hope to allow people to see and to awaken to God's
presence everywhere.
Spring 2012 Schedule
Senior Retreat - January 20-22
A weekend for the Senior Class as they prepare to move on. This year's class
is invited to a weekend at New Jersey beach. This retreat
is led by staff and recent alumni.
Freshman Escape - February 3-5
All Freshmen! Sign up now for this introduction to college retreats. Get
away from campus for a weekend of escape and renewal. Escape is a
prerequisite for freshmen for all other retreats.
Interfaith Retreat - February 3-5
Students from diverse religious backgrounds journey to sacred houses of
worship which in the past have included synagogues, mosques, Hindu temples
and various Christian churches (Coptic, Pentecostal, Baptist, Methodist,
Mennonite etc.). Journey begins at the St. Thomas of Villanova Church on
campus.
Silent Retreat at Jesuit Center, Wernersville, PA - February 10-12
Experience the role of silence and solitude in the spiritual journey
with the help of a caring listener.
CrossRoads Retreat - February 17-19
Curious about Jesus’ life and how his message is lived out in daily life?
Come on CrossRoads for an opportunity to ask questions, reflect on your
spirituality, and join in fellowship with other students.
Overnight Retreat for Graduate Students in Theology - Date TBD
Busy Person’s Retreat - March 18-22
Too busy for a weekend away? This on-campus retreat will have daily sessions
to help you grow in your spiritual life. Sunday opening session and Thursday
closing session, meet daily in between with individual directors as your
schedules allow.
SEARCH Retreat - March 23-25
An
interactive retreat that allows participants to connect with themselves,
explore their images of God, and understand how they relate to others.
Social Justice Retreat at the Romero Center in Camden, NJ - March 30-April 1
Augustinian Vocation Come & See Weekend - March 30-April 1
Curious about the life of an Augustinian Friar? Wondering if it might be
for you? Join other young men discerning a vocation to the Augustinians for
a weekend away with the Augustinians at St. Rita Cottage in Ocean City, N.J.
RCIA Retreat - March 31
Specific for those candidates for Confirmation and Reception.
