The Campus Ministry Retreat Program attempts to awaken participants to the presence of God in their daily lives. The program facilitates this awareness by asking the members of the Villanova University community to leave the busyness of college life and reflect upon aspects of their lives which they do not normally have the time, energy, or opportunity to do. By offering a variety of retreat experiences, we hope to allow people to see and to awaken to God's presence everywhere.

Fall 2009

One Day Retreat for Search Retreat participants | Sunday, September 13
11 am to 7 pm Theme: “All you need is love”.

Freshman Escape | October 2-4|
All New Students! Sign up now for this introduction to college retreats. Get away
from campus for a weekend of escape and renewal. Escape is a prerequisite for
freshman for all other retreats.

Busy Person’s Retreat | M-Th October 25-28
Too busy for a weekend away? This on-campus retreat will have daily sessions to help
you grow in your spiritual life. Sunday opening session and Thursday closing session,
meet daily in between with individual directors as your schedules allow.

One Day Christian Fellowship Retreat | Sunday, November 1
11am to 7pm A day of fellowship grounded in scripture, worship and small group
discussions to grow in your Christian life.

SEARCH Retreat | November 13-15
An interactive retreat that allows participants to connect with themselves, explore
their images of God, and understand how they relate to others.

Freshman Escape | November 13-15
All New Students! Sign up now for this introduction to college retreats. Get away
from campus for a weekend of escape and renewal. Escape is a prerequisite for
freshman for all other retreats.

Augustinian Vocation Come & See Weekend | November 13-15
Curious about the life of an Augustinian Friar? Wondering if it might be for you?
Join other young men discerning a vocation to the Augustinians for a weekend
away with the Augustinians at St. Rita Cottage in Ocean City, N.J.

RCIA Retreat | November 14
Specific for those preparing for the Sacraments of initiation into the Catholic Church
(Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation).

One in Mind and Heart: A Journey with Augustine | November 13-15
A weekend opportunity to experience the roots of the Augustinian traditions and
values while reflecting on one’s spiritual journey and struggles, as did St. Augustine.

Advent Faculty/Staff Retreat | Tuesday, December 8
10 am to noon in Corr Chapel. Fr. Rob Hagan, OSA, will be speaking on a theme
from Advent.

Spring 2010

Senior Retreat | January 15-17
A weekend for the Senior Class as they prepare to move on. This year's class is
invited to a weekend at Trout Lake in the Pocono Mountains. This retreat is led by
staff and recent alumni.

One Day Retreat | Sunday, January 24
11 am to 7 pm

SEARCH Retreat | February 5-7
An interactive retreat that allows participants to connect with themselves, explore
their images of God, and understand how they relate to others.

Interfaith Retreat | February 5-7
Students from diverse religious backgrounds journey to sacred houses of worship
which in the past have included synagogues, mosques, Hindu temples and various
Christian churches (Coptic, Pentecostal, Baptist, Methodist, Mennonite etc.).
Journey begins at the St. Thomas of Villanova Church on campus.
