Terence M. O’Toole ’80 VSB Awarded the 2017 Bartley Medallion

University President Rev. Peter M. Donohue, O.S.A., PhD, and Joyce E. A. Russell, PhD, The Helen and William O’Toole Dean presented Terence M. (Terry) O’Toole ‘80 VSB with The Rev. Joseph C. Bartley, OSA Alumni Medallion at the 8th annual Villanova Business Leaders Forum. The Bartley Medallion is awarded annually to recognize alumni who have distinguished themselves in their careers while also demonstrating extraordinary service to their communities and to VSB.

The Eighth Annual Business Leaders Forum (BLF)

The BLF was held October 5 and brought together members of VSB Advisory councils, faculty, staff and students for a day of learning and networking. This year’s theme, Creating Sustainable Value: Building Brands, Growing Talent, Delivering Results, examined how organizations can best generate sustainable value for stakeholders and attracted more than 200 attendees.
Doug Conant, former CEO of Campbell Soup Company, delivered the forum’s keynote address. He shared effective leadership strategies that champion workplace trust and clarity of purpose among the key factors to delivering extraordinary results.
Dean Russell was a featured panelist in a workshop titled “Strategies to Stand Out, Step Up and Get Noticed” at the 14th annual Pennsylvania Conference for Women on October 3 in Philadelphia. This event is the longest-running women’s conference in the state, whose mission is to promote, communicate and amplify the influence of women in the workplace and beyond. More than 12,000 women were in attendance and Former First Lady Michelle Obama served as the keynote speaker.
