The College of
Engineering offers a graduate program leading to
the degree of Doctorate of Philosophy. The primary purpose is to provide
scholars for industry and academe, emphasizing the attributes of
excellence, innovation and integrity. The course of study is
integral to the strategic plan of the College, congruent with the
mission of the Villanova University, reflective of the future of the
engineering professional, and consonant with the emerging trends in 21st
century academe.
The doctoral program is designed to prepare scholars and engineering leaders for industry and academe that are well-grounded in the nature of the profession. Today's engineering professional works in an environment where solutions to real-world problems involve more than one discipline. All engineering programs are represented.
