Thank you for your interest in membership in our society. It is an exciting time for the College of Engineering at Villanova.

Enrollment continues to increase as a result of the quality programs and due to the continual high marks the College receives from the US News Surveys and rankings. Villanova Engineering is a desirable choice for many high school graduates and our Society aids in the recruiting efforts by offering grants to the best and brightest of the incoming freshman.

The curriculum is expanding to offer newer courses and disciplines. The engineering department recently added a PhD program for the first time in our history.

Student projects are an exciting part of the experience at Villanova and the scope and ambition of these projects is ever increasing. Our Society helps fund these programs. A few worth noting include the concrete canoe, a mini-baja racer and trips to Guatemala and Honduras for students to assist in the construction of much needed facilities. A project to build a Formula race car is in the works. Members are kept apprised of the progress of these projects via the web page and access to student reports. The student projects are displayed each year at the Alumni Banquet in June.

We recently celebrated our 100th anniversary of Engineering at Villanova. Our Society was active in a number of the Centennial events. In addition, the school has named a new Dean, Gary Gabriele.

Please feel free to navigate this website to get a feel for some of the exciting activities that are taking place at the College. It is truly an exciting place to be right now.

If you are already a member, thank you for your generosity and kind support. If you area considering joining, rest assured we will be careful stewards of your generosity and will gladly welcome you to the ever growing community that is Villanova Engineering.

Sincerely,
Matthew Marquardt, CE '86
