The Radar Imaging Lab (RIL) was established in January 2005 by a grant from DARPA made to the Center for Advanced Communications (CAC). The RIL is housed in the Center of Engineering Education and Research, CEER 006.
The objective of this well equipped $400,000 Lab is to support research, analysis, and development efforts related to radar imaging. The RIL provides the capabilities for examining and providing proof-of-concept of existing and newly-devised imaging techniques using real data. The goal is to create a state-of-the-art indoor radar imaging facility that is unique in the Delaware Valley. The RIL
has had collaboration with U.S. and foreign government agencies, academia, and
industry, and is currently supporting research on through-the-wall microwave
imaging and indoor target localization.
