Amount

The fellowship amount is $2,500, and the travel award is $500.

Reports

A progress report is due every week and should be submitted to the faculty advisor. A final comprehensive report to the Director, CENDAC, is due on 9/15.

Proposal

A proposal not exceeding five pages in length should be submitted for evaluation. It should include the following:

• Project Title
• Project Summary (150-200 words)
• Introduction including previous related work and proposed work
• Project Description
• Conclusion with potential impact of proposed research
• References

Miscellaneous

• The awardee should be a full-time graduate student in the College of Engineering and is expected to be involved full-time (40 hours) with the project over a 12-week period during the months of June, July and August. The awardee may not accept any other employment during this period.
• The project is expected to be carried out at Villanova University under the supervision of the faculty advisor.
• The fellowship award will be paid in three installments of $1,000 each on 6/30, 7/31, and 8/31. The fourth installment of $1,000 will be paid after the submission of the final report.
• The travel award will be used to reimburse expenses of travel to a conference to present the results of the research before May 31 (next year).
• All taxes are the responsibility of the awardee.
