Partnership for Industrial Waste Minimization and Sustainability with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 3 Office of RCRA Program. The mission of the Partnership is to explore via research and outreach activities, approaches for addressing the complex and multifaceted reality of waste minimization and sustainability.

The collaborative efforts of EPA and VCE require the development and application of innovative technology, comprehensive outreach, and the extension of these efforts beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries with the goal of establishing a more holistic and integrated problem solving environment. The combined resources of EPA and VCE, along with industrial and other governmental partners who may join over time, will direct interdisciplinary experts towards addressing specific, complex industrial waste minimization problems.
