CEE Senior Electives

Students must take three of the following courses:

CEE 4224 - Trans Facilities Design
CEE 4331 - Solid & Hazardous Waste
CEE 4412 - Advanced Structural Egr
CEE 4521 - Water Resources Egr Design
CEE 4801 - Foundation Design

Technical Electives

Students must take six credit hours:

CEE 3235 - Advanced Transportation Engr.
CEE 4608 - Project & Constr Management
CEE 4612 - CEE Undergraduate Research
GEV 1050 - Environmental Science I / GEV 1051 - Environmental Science II
GEV 4101 - Geographic Info Systems
GEV 5100 - Resource Mgmt & Conservation
GEV 5300 - Disasters: Natural Hazards

Technical courses offered by the following departments: Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Computing Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, and Physics. The selection must be done with the advice and approval of the student’s advisor and chairperson.

Humanities/Social Science Requirement

Students must take the following two courses:

THL 1050 - Christian Theology: An Intro
EGR 2001 - Egr: Humanistic Context

- and -

one 3 credit Theology course at the 2000 level or above and, one 3 credit course from among the following:

  • Theology courses at the 2000 level or above
  • Any Philosophy course
  • Any Peace and Justice course
  • ETH 2050 - Eth Trad & Contemp Life

Electives – Social Science/Humanities

Students must take one course from each of the following groups:

Humanities

  • Arab & Islamic Studies
  • Art History (except skills courses)
  • Classical Studies
  • Communication (except skills courses)
  • English (Literature)
  • History
  • Honors Program (for eligible students only)
  • Modern Languages (except courses in native language)
  • Philosophy
  • Theater (except skills courses)
  • Theology (2000 and above)

Social Sciences

  • Economics
  • Geography
  • Peace and Justice
  • Political Science
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • Women’s Studies (selected courses only)

Courses primarily emphasizing skills (such as acting, painting, sculpting, public speaking, etc.) are not acceptable.
