Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Many Civil and Environmental Engineering undergraduates are involved in conducting modern research alongside faculty and students. In recent years, undergraduates have played a key roll in research projects in all CEE disciplines. Students can work on research projects through a variety of mechanisms:

  • paid research positions on funded research projects
  • summer research fellowships funded by sponsored projects and other sources in a semester-long research course for academic credit
  • CEE 4612 - CEE Undergraduate Research
  • in projects and assignments in other courses throughout the CEE curriculum

The faculty as well as graduate and undergraduate students are involved in fundamental and applied research in all areas of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
