Currently the department employs 19 full-time faculty responsible for both teaching and student advisement, as well as directing various research projects. The primary research areas of the faculty include: Computer Systems; Intelligent Systems and Controls; Signal Processing and Communications;
Solid State Devices and Electronics; and Microwave Systems, Photonics and Antennas.
Over ninety percent of our highly-acclaimed faculty hold terminal degrees in their fields,
and most are actively involved with industrial and government sponsored research projects. Several of these research projects are supported by the college’s Center for Advanced Communications. On average, our Electrical and Computer Engineering professors have fourteen years of teaching experience.
