The M.S. in Sustainable Engineering is designed to be a multi-disciplinary
M.S. degree that can be undertaken either as a full-time or part-time option,
and with or without a thesis option. In addition, a set of the core
courses along with electives can be used to create a Sustainable Engineering
certificate that would be complementary to the existing College Departmental
Master’s degree programs.
This is also for the non-engineering degree holder.
In some cases, an applicant from a non-traditional field may be eligible
to pursue the degree provided he/she can present evidence of proficiency
in:
- Mathematics
- Basic Science
- Engineering Science
In the absence of such evidence, the applicant can be admitted provisionally
but will be required to complete undergraduate prerequisite courses that
will depend on the applicant’s background and intended track. These undergraduate
courses will not count towards the degree. Upon completion, the candidate
can then be granted regular admission status into the program.

Course Delivery
The Sustainability Engineering M.S. degree will be available both as
an on-campus and an on-line, distance delivered program - most courses are
available on-line.
