As Villanova's President Emeritus, Father Dobbin, says, "Don't let books
be your only education."
Villanova students take that seriously — and the power of their involvement in
student life is much of what makes Villanova a community. So take it all in — live in the
residence halls, cheer for the Wildcats, volunteer with campus ministry, and jump right into our campus
clubs and organizations. Your education — and your life — will be richer with the experience
gained.
Villanova was founded in 1842 by the
Friars of the Order of St. Augustine. Located in a suburban
community 12 miles (or 20 kilometers) west of Philadelphia,
the picturesque 254-acre campus features more than 60
buildings, including a library with more than 800,000
volumes, an 11,800 seat stadium, state of the art academic
facilities, and 26 residence halls.
