What if I want to change my major during the application process?
Each student’s application for admission is reviewed by the Admission Committee
of the academic college and major to which they applied (College of Arts and Sciences,
School of Business, College of Engineering, College of Nursing). The
decision to offer admission is made on the college level. Therefore, if a student
subsequently chooses to change a major prior to the start of classes,
Monday, August 25, 2008, their file will be reviewed once again by the Admission Committee for the new major
they select.
All requests for a change of major must be submitted via e-mail to
gotovu@villanova.edu or in writing to:
Office of University Admission
Change of Major Committee
Villanova University
800 Lancaster Avenue
Villanova, PA 19085-1672
Please note that once a student begins classes at Villanova, change of major requests
within the same academic college are processed through the appropriate Dean’s Office.
Should a student decide to change academic colleges once enrolled, a formal application
is submitted to the college to which the student would like to transfer. Once a
candidate is accepted to a particular college at Villanova University, there is
no guarantee of acceptance to another college.

pin number be mailed to students?
Villanova University will provide a pin number to all applicants. The pin number
allows students to monitor their application via an on-line, secure web site. The
Office of University Admission will mail pin numbers on November 23, 2007 to
early action applicants and January 25, 2008 to regular decision applicants.
The pin and ID number will be new and will not relate to the ID and pin created
by applicants to submit an application.
With this PIN number, an applicant can:

have been received

to enroll at Villanova University, the pin number will be used by students to register
for courses, check on the status of their financial aid application, monitor the
posting of payments to their billing record, obtain their grades each semester,
and review their complete academic transcript.
