Does Villanova allow transfer credits and provide adult students with additional, non-traditional ways to earn credit?
The University will accept 60 credits in transfer (for appropriate coursework) from other regionally accredited institutions with grades C or higher.  However, part-time students will discover an attractive array of options that will help them to earn additional credit.  They include CLEP, the College of Arts and Sciences’ Credit-By-Examination program, accelerated courses called FastForward, distance learning opportunities and a variety of 1-credit weekend seminars.

How does Villanova support the adult learner?
The Office of Part-Time Studies takes great pride in providing excellent personal service to our students.  Questions and concerns are addressed promptly and courteously.  Individual advising appointments are available to all students through evening hours in both in-person and telephone format.  Regular email communication keeps our part-time students informed and “at home” in our community.  Key administrative information and services are available via the web—and these run the gamut from our on-line part-time orientation, e-payment, as well as access to the library, career services, computer support and campus parking.  Our students also benefit from academic support services, which in addition to advising, also include individual tutoring and access to writing and mathematics labs.
