Step 4 - Paying your balance

The award letter

After reviewing your completed Financial Aid Application materials and pending the student's admission to Villanova University, the Office of Financial Assistance will send you an award letter. This letter will detail all funding offered to you by the Federal and/or State governments and Villanova University. We begin to send out award letters on April 1 (freshmen) and June 1st (upperclassmen), at which point you may check your award status on-line.

If you choose to reject any of these offers, send notification to the Office of Financial Aid in writing or via email. Freshmen and transfer students must send the Reply Page included with the award letter to accept their award.

Some awards require special attention or further action, as noted in the award letter.  Please make sure you follow all appropriate instructions to receive your financial aid awards.

Pay your balance with the Villanova Financing Option

The remaining balance on your account is calculated by subtracting the EFC (Estimated Family Contribution), along with any Federal and/or Villanova University aid, from the total cost of your Villanova education. The Villanova Financing Option is a set of options designed to help you pay this balance. Learn more about these financing options and choose the best for you.
