Award Statistics for 2009-2010

For our current 2008-2009 Freshman class:

  • 98.5% of those who applied for need-based aid were eligible to receive some type of assistance.
  • 79.6% of those eligible for need-based assistance received Villanova Grants for a total of $12 million. The average Villanova Grant award was $20,000.
  • The average assistance package for students with demonstrated financial need (combining grants, scholarships, loans and student employment) was $29,446.

Overall:

  • 62.9% of all matriculating undergraduates receive some type of assistance.
  • For 2008-2009 Villanova University committed over $40 million of its resources for grant aid to undergraduate students.
