Coordinated
by the Senior
Advisory Board,
the Gala celebrated 30
years of HR excellence led by the Director, Dr. David Bush,
the addition of a new on-line degree and and kicked-off a
scholarship campaign.

Campus Philly
is hosting an Opportunities Fair
primarily for recent graduates on
June 15th. You can also find
new graduates or interns at the NJ Collegiate Career Day at
Rutgers
on
May 26th.
At any time of the year, you can review student and alumni
resumes through the
Villanova
Career Services Office
when you are registered
as an employer.
During the summer, Conference Services provides
internship housing
for students attending other colleges.
Relationships hold a key to
pay and wage gaps,
particularly for women,
according to
research by Kevin Clark, PhD, a faculty member in the School
of Business . His research was recently highlighted
on
AOL and in Pink
magazine. An adjunct faculty member with the HRD
program. Ed Wallace has written extensively on relationship
building. See his

job searching and networking, you're invited to attend a transition group
being held at Villanova or prepare for your next meeting by
listening to this
networking webinar

Development Opportunities
Continuing Studies
offers corporate
on-site training and certifications to become highly
skilled in professions including, Project Management, Treasury
Management, Internal Audit, Supply Chain,
Accounting and Paralegal Studies. The
PayTrain Fundamentals
course
will start June 2.

online courses
and on-site programs to health care organizations. For more

Academic News
The
Part-Time Studies
Division offers its
bachelor of interdisciplinary studies degree program in
Leadership Studies
in Pottstown at Montgomery County
Community College's University Center. This program provides
both an affordable and accelerated option for earning a
bachelors degree. The degree program will officially launch
June 2nd with
two distance learning classes: Ethics and Leadership and
Organizational Psychology. Beginning on Aug. 31 a
Foundations of Leadership course will be offered on-site at MCCC.
This Spring, the School of Business offered a
"mini-MBA" program"
at the new Villanova site at
the Hub in Center City. The entire
MBA program
can be taken in either a Flex Track or Fast Track option.
The College of Engineering launched a
new interdisciplinary graduate
degree
in
Sustainable Engineering
and offers most graduate degrees with
an on-line option.

Students and staff have worked
together to create a virtual tour of the
Sistine Chapel.

The College Outreach Office freely
hosts many professional groups, such as the upcoming
meeting of the
Healthcare Business Women's
Association
and the
American
Society of Women Accountants. At the
monthly meetings of
ASTD
consultants you
can pick up a range of useful ideas. A tip from
today's speaker, a local columnist, was to use the free
font,
sprang eco sans,
to save 1/3 of your toner
ink.

Academic programs for adults are
competitively priced? You could have the high
value of a Villanova degree without a high cost.

The
Villanova entrepreneurship
minor
was recognized as one of the
best courses to "pay off at
work" in an article in Yahoo Finance.

A student documentary providing
insight into the lives of those with disabilities was
recently featured in a
Daily Times
article.
