St. Thomas of Villanova was known for his great charity to the poor and
marginalized. The Villanova community celebrates its patron saint and
his legacy with an annual Day of Service in his
name.
Each year, the St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service brings together
more than 2,000 students, faculty, staff, alumni and their families
working in partnership with neighborhood agencies to perform service
throughout Greater Philadelphia. This annual event builds upon the great
service performed throughout the year by the Villanova community and
exists as a unique way to put its Augustinian ideals into action.

Day of Service Registration Process
There are three types of online registration for the Day
of Service:
-
Groups (i.e. classes, orientation groups, clubs,
academic or staff departments, etc) should use the
Group Registration form. The group contact will need the name,
email address, lunch preference, class year/status, and shirt size
of all members of the group to complete the form. The group contact
will select a service site preference for the group.
Group registration dates: August 20 - September 1
-
Groups that have already organized their own service
site but need logistical support (transportation, food, etc) and
groups performing their project in a different area of the country
or on a different day (i.e. alumni groups) should use the
Independent Site Group Registration form.
Independent group registration
dates: August 20 - September 1
-
Individual students, faculty, and staff
should use
the
Individual Registration form. As service sites become full, the
names of those sites will be removed from the selection menu.
Individual registration dates:
September 8 - September 13
