All employees are expected to report to work regularly and on
time. If you need to be late or absent for any reason, you are required to
notify your supervisor per departmental procedures. Employees are expected to
know and to follow all departmental procedures with respect to punctuality and
attendance.
Failure to provide reasonable notice and/or satisfactory explanation
of lateness or absence may result in a deduction from your pay for the time
lost, as well as discipline. Repeated lateness and/or absences may also be cause
for disciplinary action. An absence of three consecutive workdays without notice
or satisfactory explanation may be treated as job abandonment, and in effect, a
voluntary resignation. Therefore, it is very important that all absences be
reported.
