Ron Delany

who was coached by "Jumbo" Elliott, kneels in prayer after winning a gold medal and securing a new Olympic record in the 1,500-meter run at the 1956 Summer Games in Melbourne, Australia. Australia’s John Landy, who ran third bends over Delany.
