Recognizing Excellence

1968-1985

Villanova Field House

For many years the Villanova Field House was the focus of Villanova athletics and student social events.  When it first opened its doors the college’s enrollment was approximately one thousand students.  The field house was named in honor of trainer John “Jake” Nevin on 27 February 1985.  (Photograph by Alan Nyiri, 1991)
