GATEWAY TO INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY IN NURSING EDUCATION

The 37th Annual National Conference by the Professional Nurse Educator's Group

Dates: October 21 - 24, 2010
Location: Renaissance Baltimore Harbor Place Hotel

Baltimore, Maryland

Conference Overview

In 2010 this annual conference will be 37 years old. It has served as a prominent vehicle for professional nursing educators in academic, entrepreneurial, continuing education and staff development positions to strengthen their roles through learning, sharing and networking. The sponsorship for the conference has changed over time.  It was initiated by a dedicated group of continuing educators, then the American Nurses Association council on continuing education and staff development joined sponsorship.  Now it is an itinerant conference sponsored by colleges and universities and medical centers around the country.  The overarching goal of excellence in all aspects of professional nursing education has remained throughout.  Participants have been rejuvenated and armed with specific plans for action in their own work environments by attending this conference.

The 2010 conference provides you with an opportunity to:

  • Discuss  critical issues and concerns facing professional nursing educators

  • Develop practical strategies to effectively manage challenges in your work environment

  • Identify approaches that support nursing education in the future

  • Explore current and future nursing education series and concerns
