Villanova Nursing’s Dr. Marguerite Schlag assumes presidency of cancer organization

Villanova, PA, October 11, 2006 — Marguerite K. Schlag, Ed.D., R.N. assumed the presidency of the American Cancer Society, Inc., Eastern Division on September 28. She was most recently a board member since 1998. The Eastern Division encompasses the New York and New Jersey regions of the Society.

Dr. Schlag has been a volunteer with American Cancer Society, Inc., Eastern Division for more than 25 years. She is a past recipient of the St. George Medal of the American Cancer Society—the highest honor for a volunteer bestowed by the Society for distinguished service in the fight against cancer.

Dr. Schlag is the assistant dean and director of the Graduate Program for the Villanova University College of Nursing.
