College of Nursing promotes alumni through ad campaign
Villanova, PA,
April 24, 2009 — Beginning in fall 2008, after the dedication of its new
state-of-the-art facility Driscoll Hall, the College of Nursing launched a
promotional effort made possible by the generosity of Jim O’Donnell, CEO of
American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. and a 1963 graduate of the Villanova School of
Business.
O’Donnell, a member of the College’s Board of Consultors and a great friend of Villanova Nursing,
wished to increase public awareness about nursing and the excellence of the College in particular. His
very generous gift made possible a promotional campaign that showcased some of the graduates who reflect
the qualities, achievements and professionalism of all of the Villanova nursing alumni.
The promotional campaign “I’m a Villanova Nurse” targeted key publications and billboards in the
Philadelphia area, as well publications in Boston, New York City and Washington, D.C. It included nurses
from those regions. For more information about the College of Nursing, visit
