Dr. Helen Connors ’64 BSN is new Board of Consultors chairperson

Villanova, PA, April 27, 2009 — As of April 18, the position of chairperson of the Villanova University College of Nursing’s Board of Consultors has been transitioned to Dr. Helen Connors ’64 B.S.N. In addition to being a charter member of the board, she is Associate Dean for Integrated Technologies, E. Jean Hill Endowed Professor and Executive Director, Center for Heal Informatics at the University of Kansas School of Nursing. Dr. Connors fills the unexpired term of inaugural chairperson Rear Admiral Christine M. Bruzek-Kohler, ’74 B.S.N. who has an expanded role in the U. S. Navy. On May 22, she becomes Commander of Navy Medicine West based in San Diego (encompassing hospitals and clinics in California, Washington state, Hawaii, Japan and Guam) and Commander of Naval Medical Center San Diego. She continues as director of the Navy Nurse Corps. The College is grateful for her service as chair.
