Call for abstracts for annual Nursing research symposium

Villanova, PA, June 25, 2009 — Villanova University College of Nursing announces a call for abstracts for papers and posters for its Annual Research Symposium to be held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Villanova Room of Connelly Center on the University campus. The deadline for abstracts to be received is December 21, 2009.

The event is sponsored by the College’s Center for Nursing Research, Sigma Theta Tau International Alpha Nu Chapter and Continuing Education in Nursing and Health Care Program. The symposium theme is The Many Dimensions of Nursing Research and will incorporate completed research that focuses on clinical excellence, nursing education and health care leadership. Studies in any stage of development will be considered for posters.

Abstracts should include: purpose, significance, population, methodology, data analysis, conclusion and recommendations for research and/or practice. Abstracts should be single-spaced and limited to one page in length. The title page should include: title of research; name(s) and credentials of author(s); current position; mailing address, email address and phone number of author who is to be notified regarding selection. Specify consideration for paper/poster or either.

The decision of the Abstract Review Committee will be communicated to the applicants by January 21, 2010.

Villanova University College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
