Marguerite K. Schlag is Associate Professor, Assistant
Dean and Director of Graduate Nursing Program at Villanova University College of
Nursing. Dr. Schlag received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova
University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University,
and a Doctorate in Anthropology of Education from Rutgers, The State University
of New Jersey. Prior to her appointment at Villanova University, Dr. Schlag held
positions as Assistant Vice President, Professional Practice, Education and
Research at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey
and Assistant Professor at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Dr.
Schlag is currently a member of the American Cancer Society, Inc. National Board
of Directors. Dr. Schlag is the recipient of the New Jersey Governor’s Award
for Excellence in Nursing Practice-Education, the St. George Medal from the
American Cancer Society, and the Medallion for Leadership in Nursing Practice
and Health Care Delivery from Villanova University. Dr. Schlag is a frequent
lecturer and author on topics related to nursing management and research,
cultural and ethical decision-making and advanced nursing practice.
