Distance Learning System Requirements

The Doctoral Program in Nursing is taught using distance learning technology in the Fall and Spring semesters. Summer courses are taught on the Villanova University campus.

"The distance-learning format of this program is attractive because of the flexibility it will allow with my personal and professional schedule. Removing the travel time will increase the quality of time I will have to spend on research and scholarly work for the program."

Cathy Poillon Lovecchio, MSN, RN
BSN '85
Doctoral student

The College of Nursing has instituted a laptop initiative for its Nursing PhD program, and all students are expected to participate to ensure ease of service by technology support personnel.  Students are issued a Dell laptop along with webcams and headset and pay a technology fee for the laptop program for four years during the fall and spring semesters.  For more information about the laptop program, go to: http://www.villanova.edu/unit/laptopprogram.

All students enrolled in this program will require a high-speed internet connection.
