What makes Villanova such a great place to learn?
Our ultimate goal at the
College of Nursing is to provide a broad education to prepare
nurses who are ethically oriented, professionally competent and who are educated
in Villanova's proud liberal arts tradition. In line with that goal, all nursing
students take designated courses in the humanities, natural sciences and
behavioral sciences in addition to the courses in the nursing major. Your
Villanova degree is your gateway to a vibrant nursing career.
The undergraduate enrollment in our fully
accredited program is
approximately 500
students who come from as close as the mid-Atlantic and New England states, and
as far as the West Coast and foreign nations. We welcome
adult and transfer
students as well as the traditional college student. At Villanova, you will be
instructed and ably prepared for a career in clinical nursing by a
nationally-known and respected faculty. Additional study opportunities are
available, as well as service learning experiences.

Like most students who know where they are headed professionally, you will find
that one of the more exciting features of our undergraduate nursing program is
the immediate involvement in nursing courses. No long list of prerequisites will
keep you waiting. You begin your college career with an introductory course to
professional nursing in your very first semester. At the same time, you'll be
enrolled in liberal arts and science courses with other undergraduate majors.
Our students are leaders who are fully integrated in campus life.
"The program at the College of Nursing is very well rounded and demanding.
Every course you take over the four years prepares you with confidence to be a
leader and to become an expert in the clinical practice field."

The Learning Resource Center in the College of Nursing, which includes extensive
computer resources, provides additional strength to our program. Here you can
avail yourself of a vast selection of audio-visual material and equipment,
updated and maintained for the exclusive use of our undergraduate and graduate
nursing students. As technology influences the field of health care, the College
of Nursing incorporates these modalities into its educational programs.
