Our faculty teach you both in the classroom and clinical settings. You will
enjoy a low student-faculty ratio — an important component of your clinical
education. Villanova's nursing faculty are experts in their respective fields
and the majority hold doctoral degrees. They maintain clinical practice and are
involved with many community and professional activities.
Upon admission, you will be assigned a faculty advisor in the College of Nursing
who will provide academic advisement throughout your four years of study. This
professional mentor relationship creates stability and continuity for our
students, as well as ongoing contact with a professional role model. Student
development — both personal and professional — is encouraged. Faculty advise on
course selection, career paths, networking, extracurricular activities and
available resources. Many of our students form lifelong friendships with the
faculty.
"The faculty in the College of Nursing are warm, empathetic, welcoming people.
They valued my contributions as a student and served as a guiding source of
encouragement during my time at Villanova. They gave me the confidence I needed
in preparing myself to practice professional nursing and always encouraged me to
work towards my highest potential."
