There are numerous scholarships and awards available to
qualified students in the College of Nursing. There are
award-based
scholarships, graduate assistantships,
federal traineeships for
graduate students, loan forgiveness programs,
military options, and
specific scholarships.
There are
also
scholarships and grants from sources outside Villanova University. Those students who seek funding for international or multicultural study
opportunities should investigate the
Connelly-Delouvrier International
Scholars Program for nursing students.
Enrolled students will find more details about scholarships
and awards, as well as related publications, in this section of the
College's web pages. Our Student Academic Resources Advisor is a valuable
resource for updated information about scholarships offered by external groups. There is also more information about financial assistance
at
www.finaid.villanova.edu.
The College of Nursing thanks its partner Philadelphia’s
Independence Blue Cross (IBC) for supporting the IBC Nurse Scholars Program
which seeks to stem the future shortage of nurses and nurse educators by providing scholarships to
undergraduate and graduate nurses. Many Villanova nursing students have
benefited from this program.
