Committees

Campus Master Plan committees—composed of faculty, staff, and students—have been created in order to focus on particular aspects of our campus: Academic Mission, Administrative Services, Pedestrian Encounter, and Student Experience. Members of the committees were selected by the Vice President of their area/department, and then approved and invited to serve by Father Donohue. Input from these committees, as well as feedback from all members of the campus community, will assist Venturi, Scott Brown in creating a comprehensive plan that is reflective of the University’s present and future needs.

Academic Mission

Goal: To ensure the University’s Academic Mission is an integral part of every decision considered and implemented in the master planning process.

Administrative Services

Goal: Evaluate and address the facility and space needs related to the Administrative Services available to the University Community, including location, adjacencies, and infrastructure.

Pedestrian Encounter

Goal: Evaluate and address campus needs associated with the experience of a pedestrian, including access to buildings, landscaping, hardscaping, egress paths, signage, and general campus aesthetics.

Student Experience

Goal: Evaluate and address the facility and space needs related to the experience of a student outside of the classroom, including the living, dining, and recreational experiences on campus.

Teaching and Research Space (Subcommittee to Academic Mission)

Goal: Evaluate the needs of teaching and research spaces on campus, with an emphasis on size, location, adjacencies, technology, and furniture.
