Saturday, September 19th

Each year, the St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service provides a wonderful opportunity for the University community to come together and put into action our Augustinian ideals. Villanovans everywhere are active throughout the year using their talents and resources to provide service and partner with neighborhood agencies. The St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service allows the University to shine a light on these efforts and draw attention to the good work that the Villanova community is doing on this and every day throughout each year.

The 2008 Day of Service featured more than 2,000 students, faculty, staff, alumni and their families working together to make a difference in neighborhoods near and far, and in the process learned a little bit more about what makes our community so special.

The Day of Service is an impactful and visible way for Villanova to demonstrate its commitment to the community. There are opportunities to accommodate every interest and you are encouraged to find ways to be involved in this unique celebration of Villanova’s Augustinian mission.

Day of Service Registration Process

There are three types of online registration for the Day of Service:

  • Groups (i.e. classes, orientation groups, clubs, academic or staff departments, etc) should use the Group Registration form. The group contact will need the name, email address, lunch preference, class year/status, and shirt size of all members of the group to complete the form. The group contact will select a service site preference for the group.

Group registration dates to be determined.

  • Groups that have already organized their own service site but need logistical support (transportation, food, etc) and groups performing their project in a different area of the country or on a different day (i.e. alumni groups) should use the Independent Site Group Registration form.

Independent group registration dates to be determined.

  • Individual students, faculty, and staff should use the Individual Registration form. As service sites become full, the names of those sites will be removed from the selection menu.

Individual registration dates to be determined.
