2011 Lost & Found Auction
On October 6, 2011, The Department of Public Safety hosted our Annual Public
Safety Auction outside of Connelly Center. Every Fall, Public Safety gathers
items that have been submitted to the lost and found department during the
previous school year. Items were collected from move-in day of last August
through move-in day of this school year. Many of the items were on high
demand and received an overwhelming amount of bids such as cell phones,
calculators, and several bikes. The Auction raised $2,000 dollars. The funds
raised this year will be donated to Villanova’s “The Rainy Day Fund”.
Approximately 80 percent of items turned into the Department of Public
Safety Lost and Found are returned to the owner within a short period of
time. Auctioning items that do not get retrieved is a way for Public Safety
to clear out the lost and found area as well as contribute to a charitable
organization.
The Department of Public Safety would like THANK everyone who
participated. Including Delaware County for Women Against Rape (DCWAR),
Delaware County Domestic Violence, Radnor Police, Septa, Multi Cultural
Affairs, Nursing, Counseling Center, Villanova Emergency Medical Services (VEMS),
Rape Aggression Defense Instructors (RAD), Dining Services, Connelly Center
and Villanova University Shop.
We would like to remind the Villanova Community to check with the lost
and found department if they have lost something by calling 610-519-6985. We
just might have what you’ve been looking for!
March 2011 QRS Recertification
VUDPS operates a QRS vehicle 24/7, 365 days a year. The QRS is staffed by
First Responders and Emergency Medical Technicians. It provides pre-hospital
care to students, faculty, staff and visitors of the Villanova campus. Public
Safety’s QRS is recognized by the State of Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Every three years the QRS service will be re-inspected by the Department of
Health. All Officers responding in the vehicle receive on-going training on a
yearly basis.

Please continue to check back for new events happening in Public Safety!
