Safety Alert

On Monday evening, September 21, 2009 at approximately 10:15 PM two male
students reported that they were assaulted by three unknown males. The incident
occurred as the students were walking towards South campus near the train
underpass along South Ithan Avenue. The three individuals assaulted the two
students and attempted to search their pockets for valuables, however nothing
was taken and the students were not seriously injured. The suspects then left
the area from the East Main Lot in an older green Ford SUV.
Suspect Descriptions:
Suspect #1: Male, dark brown skin, 18-24 years old, 6’1” tall,
muscular build, wearing long blue sweatpants with white stripes, a white tank
top undershirt, dreadlocks, tattoos on arms, hands, neck, and stomach, and a
long thin beard.
Suspects #2 & #3: Males, dark brown skin, 18-24 years old, 6’1”-6’3”
tall, muscular builds, wearing dark pants and black hooded sweatshirts drawn
tightly around their faces.
Members of the University community are urged to use caution when walking on
campus at night, particularly on the periphery of campus, and to avoid walking
alone. Public Safety offers a safety escort service throughout the night and the
Wildcat shuttle runs until 1:30 AM during the week.

Students are urged to report suspicious behavior to Public Safety immediately
