Parking Information

Welcome from the Parking Office at Villanova University! In an effort to provide our community with adequate parking and safe Parkingtraffic conditions, it is the policy of Villanova University that junior and senior resident students and all commuting students are eligible to park vehicles on University parking lots designated as student parking areas. This does not guarantee the ability to park directly in front of any residence hall.

Parking FAQ's

Freshman and sophomore resident students are not permitted to park vehicles on University parking lots/areas. It is important that non-eligible resident students DO NOT bring their vehicles to campus or park in the residential areas surrounding Villanova since adjacent townships prohibit non-residential parking on many local streets.

Students are encouraged to utilize the campus shuttle service and student escort service in order to reduce traffic congestion and for safety concerns.

Exceptions to this policy are made only for those with extenuating circumstances. Current and ongoing construction will greatly reduce the number of exceptions granted for the current academic year.

To be considered for an exception to the parking policy, freshman and sophomore resident students must submit a written appeal to the Parking Office before the vehicle is brought to campus. Documentation from a physician, an employer, or other relevant information should be attached to the written appeal for verification, or can be faxed to us at 610-519-6563. Medical and/or employment will not necessarily be reasons for an appeal to be granted. No temporary permits will be issued unless permission has been granted in advance. This includes periods before and after holidays and breaks. Please check with the Parking Office for appeal information and deadlines.

Online Parking Registration

For those who are eligible to register, web based parking registration is available. It’s convenient and easy! To access this form all you will need is your Novasis ID and password. Once you submit the form, you’re done. It’s easy and hassle free. Eligible students who complete the form on line will have the parking permit price automatically billed to their student account. When the system is ready to go "live" you will be notified via email with the simple parking registration directions along with the schedule concerning permit pick-up.

Flyers will also be posted at various campus locations with specific dates and times for parking permit pick-up. This information can also be found on our website. Eligible students may register their vehicles on-line in mid July. At the time of parking permit pick-up students will be required to present their Wildcard, valid driver’s license and vehicle registration for verification purposes.

Visitors to our campus should call the Parking Office at 610-519-6990. After hours drive to our Main Entrance Gate, off of North Ithan Avenue, and see the Public Safety Officer for parking instructions and passes.
