Conference Services employs a temporary staff from mid-May to early August. The summer staff will work in reservations and operations functions for conference, camp and guest groups using Villanova’s meeting, dining, housing, catering, and recreation facilities.

Strong hospitality skills, a solid work ethic and a valid USA driver’s license are required.

Timeline for 2010 Staff Selection Process *

February 15 to March 31 Applications accepted and Interviews scheduled
March 1 to March 7 Villanova Spring Break
March 15 to April 9 Interviews conducted (Monday through Friday only)
March 31 to April 5 Villanova Easter Break
April 20 Offer/Decline Letters go out via e-mail
April 26 Acceptance Letters due back to OCS
April 28, 29 and 30 Employment Paperwork Meetings
(Mandatory one-hour scheduled sessions for all hired staff)
May 17, 18, 19 and 20 Shift Leader Training
May 19 and 20 Service Desk Assistant Training
May 16 or 23 (tentative dates) Staff to move into OCS Housing
May 24 All-Staff Training begins (Shift Leaders, Conference Assistants and Service Desk Assistants)
May 30 Conference Operations begin
August 11 Last Day of Employment with OCS
Also last move-out day for staff
