| Career Assistants |
|
Career Assistants are comprised of sophomores, juniors, and seniors with
ties to all four colleges at Villanova. They undergo extensive training
on resume writing, major selection, job search strategies, interviewing
techniques as well as graduate/professional school information. Career Assistants
work cohesively with the CSO professional staff and strive to assist students
with the transition between college life and the professional world.
Career

- Critique resumes
- Answer career questions
- Suggest resources
- Explain placement procedures and on-line services
- Discuss majors and career decision making strategies.

Christina Bernardo
Christina is a Senior Political Science/Philosophy major with a minor in
Africana Studies. She was born and raised on Long Island, NY and is a
diehard Mets fan! She is especially waiting for Jose and David to clinch
the pennant (sorry Phillies fans). She is involved in a few student
groups on campus, including the Progressive Students Network, and she
loves participating in the many service trips Campus Ministry offers
over breaks. So if you need your resume read or just want to chat over
coffee in the Career Lounge, feel free to stop by.

Erin Carr
Erin is a senior Finance major. She is from Fairfax, VA. Fairfax is
about twenty miles from Washington, DC, so Erin does NOT have a southern
accent. She is involved in Pastoral Musicians and she really enjoys
doing community service. Erin is currently involved in the
post-graduation job search, so she can probably relate to your
situation. Feel free to stop by for help during her office hour! |

Caroline Crowther
Caroline is a junior majoring in finance. She is from Natick,
Massachusetts and loves to spend time at the beach, go to concerts,
drink coffee, and relax with family and friends. This is her first year
as a career assistant and she is looking forward to working with her
fellow students and the CSO staff. Caroline will be in Galway, Ireland
for the fall semester, so stop by during her office hours in the spring! |

Elizabeth DiDonna
Elizabeth is a junior in the Villanova School of Business from
Rochester, New York. She has declared majors in Accounting and
Management Information Systems. Elizabeth is a member of the Student
Alumni Relations Team and is a student facilitator in the freshmen
leadership learning communities. She has participated in the Ruibal
Challenge as well as the Special Olympics Fall Festival. Elizabeth is
always looking to meet new people so come visit in the Career Café! |

Lily Engle
Lily is a senior, double majoring in Economics and Finance. It’s Lily’s
third year with Career Services as a Career Assistant. She is from
Lakeville, CT and was in Sydney, Australia last semester (which she
loves to talk about). She is hoping to work in New York City next year
and is sad that it’s her last year at Villanova and as a Career
Assistant. Lily’s happy to help with any career questions! |

Sandy Krogulski Sandy is a senior History and Political
Science double major with a minor in Women’s Studies from the small town
of Shavertown Pennsylvania. She just returned from a semester abroad in
Edinburgh, Scotland where she interned with the Scottish Parliament.
Sandy is a huge Philadelphia Sports Fan, and she especially loves the
Phillies and knows that another comeback is imminent. She also believes
the Sixers will be a strong contender and will make a solid playoff run.
Basketball is her favorite sport, and she also enjoys reading, running
and traveling. She loves meeting new people and hearing what they have
to say, so stop by her office hour to chat!! |

Megha Kulshreshtha
Megha is a junior Political Science major from Pemberton, NJ (a small
town in the middle of no-where). She is currently pursuing a classical
studies minor and possibly a double major in Economics if it treats her
well. In addition to volunteering as a Career Assistant, Megha is
Co-Chair of SAMOSA (South Asian Multicultural Organized Student’s Ass.)
She is also a member of VU’s Dhadkan Dance Team. Apart from school,
Megha has studied abroad in Jordan, Egypt, and Switzerland this past
year. She enjoys watching marathons of Law and Order- The Original and
eating Ramen noodles Dancing is a huge hobby of hers and she also
enjoys a good conversation, so stop by and say hi during her office
hour! |

Keenan Lynch
Keenan is a junior Political Science major from East Providence, Rhode
Island. In addition to being a Career Assistant, he works in Student
Life in Dougherty Hall, and is a member of the 2008 Special Olympics
Fall Festival Committee. Keenan enjoys playing golf and basketball,
running, and hanging out with his family and friends. He likes reading
and writing, follows politics and sports--especially the Red Sox and the
Patriots, which are the greatest respective teams in the nation.
Keenan's CSO office hour is Monday at 1:30, so stop by to hang out and
talk with him.

Kristin Murphy Kristin is a junior accounting and
finance major with a minor in real estate. She is from upstate New York.
Kristin studied abroad in London, England in the spring of her freshman
year. This past summer, Kristin studied abroad in Shanghai, China and
visited Beijing. She is an RA on West campus and is involved a variety
of other organizations on campus. Kristin is a TV addict and loves to
meet new people so stop in during her office hour for a chat.

Jaime Rigopoulos
Jaime is a junior Marketing/IB Co-Major from Framingham, Massachusetts.
She will miss the Career Services Office immensely while she studies
abroad for the fall semester in Sydney, Australia…but get ready for her
return in the spring! Jaime loves to swim, read, and watch every single
episode of Friends (she has all 10 seasons on DVD!). Jaime is also
involved in Villanova’s chapter of STAND, 2nd Mile, Rays of Sunshine,
and VSB Peer Counselors. Stop by during her office hour in the spring to
chat about anything and everything!

Jamie Tonelli
Jamie is a junior majoring in Accounting and minoring in Mathematics.
She is from Short Hills, New Jersey. Jamie is a member of the Honors
Program and also works at the student advising center in VSB, the Clay
Center. She is also a part of the Accounting Society and the Fixed
Income Society. Jamie is a very active member in the Club Tennis team,
usually competing in tournaments every weekend. Other than that, she
loves to cook with her roommates, play with her dogs, and travel. This
past summer she took classes in Rome, Italy and also traveled to Spain
and London. She is always busy on campus and loves bumping into new
people.

Allison Webb
Allison is a sophomore Math major with a minor in Business. She has been
living in Montvale which is in the northern part of Bergen County, New
Jersey since she was 2 years old. The most exciting part of her summer
was interning at the new Jets/Giants stadium. She contributes to campus
life at Villanova as the Assistant Chair on the Concerns and Issues
Committee for the Student Government, so if you have any concerns or
issues she is the one to go to! She is excited to help students with
resumes and interviews as a Career Assistant.

Laura Weidner
Laura is a junior, double majoring in Marketing and Management with a
minor in International Business. She is from Perkasie, Pennsylvania.
This past summer Laura studied abroad in Siena, Italy. She is a Peer
Counselor for the School of Business, helps with event planning in the
Office of Health Promotions, and is a member of the Gamma Phi Honor
Society. In her free time Laura likes to travel, shop, nap, and watch
the 2007 NL East Champs! Stop by during her office to talk about
anything or go over your resume!
