What is NCHA-Web?
The National College Health Assessment-Web is a survey designed to assess
student health behaviors. It is administered by the American College Health
Association. You can learn more about both by visiting their
website. Villanova University’s
Office of Health Promotion collects the NCHA-Web every two years. The next
survey administration will occur in 2011.
How is the survey data being used?
The survey data collected using the NCHA-Web is being used to provide better
health services and resources for Villanova students. It will also be used to
measure population-level health behavior and perception change among Villanova
undergraduates. Through the consideration of anecdotal evidence, learning
outcomes of existing programs and services, and data collection, Villanova’s
Health Services can better serve and support our undergraduates. You will see
our data being put to work in things like the Stall Street Journal, HealthBytes,
and all of the Health Promotion programming throughout the year.
