Sexual Offense Support (S.O.S.)

Our Mission

Peer educators specifically trained in sexual assault are dedicated to:

  • creating awareness through passive and active programs about sexual assault, sexual harassment and healthy relationships

  • offering resources and acting as a resource to the Villanova community as a whole

  • educating the Villanova community about prevention and safety regarding sexual assault

All peer educators embody the values of the Augustinian traditions of Villanova University. Special emphasis is placed on confidentiality, approachability and respect.

What We Do

We provide programming, raise awareness, and work to make Villanova a more responsible campus with regard to sexual assault issues.  Our programs address the following issues:

  • date rape drugs and testing
  • the rights of a victim of sexual assault
  • how to help a friend
  • available resources on campus regarding sexual assault
  • reducing your risk in being involved in sexual assault
  • importance of communication
