
Immunizations
The Student Health Center provides immunizations such as Tetanus and
Diphtheria and Hepatitis A and B. In certain circumstances, the Student Health Center offers
other immunizations. Please call the Student Health Center at (610) 519-4070
with any questions. Students are financially responsible for the cost of the
immunization.
Allergy Shots
The Student Health Center provides ongoing immunotherapy injections for
students who have previously had immunotherapy treatment. Students must present
in advance with their serum, signed orders from the allergist, and an
administration schedule. Allergy shots are given by appointment only and when a
physician is on premises. Allergy shots are provided free of charge to Villanova
students.
Insurance Information
All students need health insurance throughout their
term of enrollment at Villanova. All domestic undergraduate matriculated
students, all international students, and all law school students must either
enroll in the school sponsored plan with United Health or waive out of the
University sponsored plan by showing proof of comparable coverage. All domestic
non-matriculating undergraduate students, graduate students taking six or more
credit hours, and Ph.D thesis continuation students are also eligible to
purchase this coverage. For more information regarding the school sponsored

Travel Information n
Students may obtain information regarding travel related immunizations and
prophylactic medications by making appointment with a nurse practitioner or
physician in the Student Health Center. Additional travel information may be
found on the CDC’s website.
In some cases, students may be referred to a
local travel
medicine provider.
Women’s Health
The nurse practitioners at the Student Health Center provide women’s health
services such as annual gynecologic exams, evaluation and treatment of
infection, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, and pregnancy
testing. Services are available by appointment
Monday – Friday. Examinations are free of charge, though any laboratory
testing or prescribed medications are the financial responsibility of the
student.
In order to allow adequate time to your appointment, please indicate the
nature of the appointment reason when speaking with the Student Health Center
staff. Women’s health appointments can be
made by calling the Student Health Center at 610-519-4070.
Because of the values of Villanova University as a Catholic, Augustinian
school, the Student Health Center, as a matter of policy, does not provide
materials on preventing conception or that encourage termination of pregnancy.
