What is Collegiate EMS Week?
Collegiate EMS Week is modeled after the more traditional National EMS Week,
held annually during the third week of May and sponsored by Congress and the
American College of Emergency Physicians. It provides collegiate EMS
organizations with an opportunity to conduct outreach and programming above and
beyond their traditional call of duty, and enables them to educate students,
faculty, staff, and community members on their organization's service.
 This year's celebration will occur
November 8 - 15, 2009 and marks the 11th
Annual Collegiate EMS Week. It is sponsored by the National Collegiate Emergency
Medical Service Foundation (NCEMSF). More information can
be found at www.ncemsf.org.

Please join Villanova EMS as we offer Family & Friends CPR Anytime™ in
celebration of the 11th Annual Collegiate EMS Week. This one-of-a-kind course
will not only provide you with the training you need to help a loved one in
crisis, but will also enable you to share your knowledge with family members and
friends. Its self-directed course format has been research-proven to be
equivalent to taking a traditional, instructor-led course to learn basic CPR
skills. It is designed for family, friends, and community members not
requiring a course completion card or proof of certification. And best of
all, this course is easy and fun!
On Sunday, November 8th you and your family are invited to learn and
practice these lifesaving skills under the supervision of our American Heart
Association (AHA) certified CPR instructors. As part of your $40.00
registration fee, your family will receive its own adult/child kit
including:
• an inflatable Mini
Ann™ CPR-practice manikin with an integrated adult/child compression clicker;
• a 22-minute DVD with
CPR Anytime skills practice (in English and Spanish);
