The Summer Language Program at Villanova University offers a comprehensive English
learning and living experience. Our English program provides outstanding language
and cultural enrichment in scenic and comfortable surroundings. In four weeks of
intensive study and conversation you will increase your English language fluency
and your individual confidence in listening, speaking and writing.
At the same time you will have an exciting and satisfying experience away from
the classroom. Located conveniently near historical Philadelphia, there are numerous
opportunities to participate in a range of extracurricular activities. We provide
the highest quality of English instruction while at the same time exposing students
to a variety of social and sightseeing experiences.
Who is this Program for
The Summer Language Program is designed for high school students from countries
outside the United States who want to improve their English speaking and writing
skills, learn about the American culture, and acquire some information about the
college admission and selection process in the U.S.
By living on the Villanova campus,
taking ESL classes, attending seminars about the different types of colleges in
this country and visiting cultural landmarks, you will receive valuable information
and experiences to help you consider applying to and attending an American college
or university.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
TOEFL is required of all students
where English is not their native language. For more information on how to register
for the TOEFL, you may visit their website. You may also wish to review our
Admission
website for further TOEFL information as well as other requirements.
