Center for Multicultural Affairs
The Center for Multicultural Affairs is designed to:
 
  • Assist and support the University with it's mission of being a "Community of people who share common values and whose culture reflects the true Augustinian spirit"
  • Strengthen and facilitate the University's commitment to diversity.

Who We Are

The Center for Multicultural Affairs Outreach and Diversity Initiatives works to engage the greater Villanova community in programs, events, and processes of personal development involving issues of global and domestic differences. Workshops, interactive performances, retreats, and lectures are provided in locations across campus, in the local Mainline and Philadelphia communities.  The Center is working to:
  • Build a community diverse in race, gender, ethnicity, culture.
  • Graduate students with a strong liberal arts education and with a strong sense of commitment to service.
  • Seek and encourage non-traditional students for degree programs .
  • Strengthen relationships with alumni, parents and friends.

What We Do

The Center for Multicultural Affairs provides a welcoming atmosphere and services to support the University's mission of respecting individual differences and adhering to the principle that mutual love and respect should animate every aspect of University life. Individually and in collaboration with others , the Center promotes and provides multicultural education and activities on campus.  Events include a Multicultural Night and a Martin Luther King, Jr celebration.  The staff also reaches off-campus to inform assist and promote the efforts of the University in becoming a more diverse community. The center sponsors the Multicultural Affairs Electronic Bulletin Board.
