American Institute for Managing Diversity

AIMD is a research and education institute committed to demonstrating the power and potential of diversity management. Founded in 1984, AIMD was the first national, nonprofit diversity think tank created for the purpose of advancing the field of diversity management. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) responsibility is the administration and management of 55.7 million acres of land held in trust by the United States for American Indians, Indian tribes, and Alaska Natives. There are 562 federal recognized tribal governments in the United States. Developing forestlands, leasing assets on these lands, directing agricultural programs, protecting water and land rights, developing and maintaining infrastructure and economic development are all part of the agency's responsibility. The Cuban American National Foundation

Departmental Office of Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Transportation

The Departmental Office of Civil Rights (DOCR) is the designated advisor to the Secretary on civil rights matters. The DOCR director provides leadership, policy, guidance, monitoring, and technical assistance to the "Operating Administration" (OA) in implementing DOT's civil rights responsibilities. Each OA has an Office of Civil Rights, or individuals assigned these responsibilities, to ensure civil rights compliance for their respective organization and programs.

Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund

Founded in 1979 by people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities, the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, Inc. (DREDF) is a national law and policy center dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of people with disabilities through legislation, litigation, advocacy, technical assistance, and education and training of attorneys, advocates, persons with disabilities, and parents of children with disabilities.

National Advisory Council on Indian Education

The Council advises the Secretary of Education concerning the funding and administration (including the development of regulations and administrative policies and practices) of any program. The Council consists of fifteen members who are Indian (including Alaska Native), and are appointed by the President from lists of nominees furnished, from time to time, by Indian tribes and organizations. The fifteen members represent different geographic areas of the United States.
